This is a special blog update from our student (and king for the day) Eric!

What a day! We all woke up this morning and ate our last delicious breakfast in Potes, then got on the bus and headed to Madrid! We stopped twice for the bathroom and to grab a little snack. We got off the bus around 3:30 and checked into our very nice hotel for the week. We all had a little time to unpack and relax before hitting the streets for our first scavenger hunt in Madrid — the questions ranged from finding the best place in Madrid to get tapas to finding out about the local parties here. It was a fun activity to improve our Spanish-speaking abilities. We then had a little time to shop before getting ready for dinner. We had dinner at Pimiento Verde (the Green Pepper). After dinner, we headed to the ice cream stand for some dessert and then back to the hotel. Every night we go around and say our altos y bajos, or our highs and lows for the day. I then crowned the new queen as Lauren and we all said buenas noches and headed off for bed. We’re excited for tomorrow!
