TASHA DE SHERBININ

While at Colby College, Tasha studied Human Development and spent time in Spain, Argentina, and Costa Rica. After finishing her undergraduate studies, Tasha moved to Denver, Colorado, where she spent two years teaching Spanish to high school students with Teach For America. She then had the opportunity to return to Spain to teach English for a year and travel throughout Europe. While there, she led a summer program for high school students in Barcelona. This fall, Tasha will begin work as a college counselor at a high school in Boston. She is fluent in Spanish.

NICK WOLTERS
York College of Pennsylvania, B.A., Spanish and History; University of Delaware, M.A., Foreign Languages & Literatures; University of Virginia, Ph.D., Spanish (candidate)

During his undergraduate studies, Nick spent a semester studying Spanish and Art History at the Universidad de Sevilla in Spain. He worked as an au pair to a French family in France, and traveled and studied in Grenoble, La Londe-les-Maures, and Paris. During his graduate studies, Nick worked as a Spanish instructor and a travel assistant in Ecuador and Argentina. He helped to organize trips to Chile, Peru, and Brazil. He also spent a summer studying French language and culture at the Sorbonne in Paris. After graduating, Nick taught Spanish at the Wilmington Friends School in Delaware and was an editorial assistant for Linguatext, Ltd. Nick has taught Spanish in the University of Virginia’s program in Valencia, Spain, and spent a summer researching in archives, libraries, and museums in Madrid, Oviedo, and Barcelona. He is fluent in Spanish and French, speaks basic Portuguese, and is learning Catalan. Nick has led Putney’s Language Learning Costa Rica program.
